SUN HOURS
Sun Hours is a abstract calendar that displays the average sun hours per day through the year in Frankfurt, Germany.

PROCESS
For this calendar I searched through the weather recordings of the german weather service and transfered the data into my calendar. Every yellow stripe represents the average sun hours per day. The color tiles in the background represent the seasons and months.

On the left side you can read the sun hours with the help of the small sun symbols. The yellow lines in the background should make this easier. The thickening, dark lines in the background represent the 10th, 20th and 30th days of the month.

The colors in the background are selected according to which colors are associated with which season. The winter months are made of cold blues, the spring months of greens, the summer of yellows and oranges and the autumn consists of deep red tones.
